More Referees Are
Needed
We are looking for adults and youth (13 years old
and older) from Moscow, Pullman, and the surrounding areas who are interested and committed to being a soccer referee for
youth soccer in our area (previous soccer playing experience is beneficial but not required).
Referee training clinics include 16 hours of classroom time and a written exam. By attending all
16 classroom hours and passing the written test, you will become a USSF Referee. This will qualify you to be assigned to work youth level soccer games as either a center
referee or an assistant referee.
Attendance at a recertification clinic (usually held in January or February) every year is
required to remain certified and eligible to referee games.
What if less than 10 people preregister?
If we do not receive 10 registrants, those of you who preregister will-
-
receive an email Friday morning announcing the clinic is
cancelled.
-
have your check returned to you.
-
receive direct notification of a rescheduled clinic at a later time.
What happens after passing the course?
After attending the 16 hour course and passing the exam on Sunday, you will be required to
complete a referee certification/registration form that goes to the Idaho Soccer Referee Committee (ISRC) along with a $40 Certification Fee (due Sunday at the end of the course payable to ISRC)
and $5 Background Check (only if 18+ yrs) (due Sunday at the
end of the course payable to IYSA).
You will be added to the local soccer association's available
referee contact list and you will be contacted by the referee scheduler and will be worked into the upcoming fall soccer schedule (local club
games).
If you have questions, please send
email to jb5soccer11@yahoo.com.
